Review Of The 2015 Subaru Outback
The 2015 Subaru Outback is not the car to purchase if you already own the 2014 model. It only makes minor improvements on the previous model. But, if you own an older model, or you are simply looking for a first class modern SUV, the 2015 Subaru Outback definitely stands out among its class.
The Bulky SUV With Capacity
For starters, it is an attractive SUV. It is a bulky vehicle, just shy of being called a mini-van. Instead, it looks more like a classic station wagon, except that it has robust curves and a gently sloped wind shield that makes it incredibly pleasing to the eye. Overall, it has a surprisingly sleek profile for a vehicle designed primarily for cargo capacity.
Speaking of cargo capacity, this is definitely one place where the 2015 Subaru truly shines. It offers 35 cubic feet of cargo capacity normally and that number increases to a truly impressive 73 cubic feet with the back seats pushed down. Few vehicles short of vans or trucks offer comparable numbers. It doesn’t offer quite the same storage for people, surprisingly designed primarily for four passengers instead of for five or more. It can support a fifth passenger, just not very well. But the comfort it provides for those four passengers is quite impressive. Front and rear seats both offer lots of leg room, with plenty of additional room to stretch out your arms and torso.
Safety & Comfort
Not only is the ride comfortable for passengers, it is also quite safe. The 2015 Subaru Outback includes safety features like blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, a cross traffic warning system, and a camera controlled collision protection system. It is filled with a plethora of modern technology that has become standard in the best of luxury vehicles, a title that the 2015 Subaru Outback is clearly deserving. Additional standard luxuries also include built-in outside and inside temperature gauges and built-in touch screen GPS navigation.
And yet, despite the size of the 2015 Subaru Outback, and the clear focus on internal comfort and luxury, it is also a car that has impressive fuel economy of over 30 miles per gallon on the highway and good road grip. Standard four wheel drive helps keep this car tight to the road, or whatever ground type you are driving on should you choose to take the 2015 Subaru Outback off-road. If anyone had ever tried to invent the perfect vehicle for a vacation trip for a family of four, the 2015 Subaru Outback would be that vehicle.
